This past we the Region 2 Women’s Basketball Comittee passed out it’s annual All Region/All Conference awards and two familar faces were on the list. Freshman guard Kylie Eubanks and freshman forward Haitiana Releford earned All Region awards as freshman. Haitiana Releford picked up First Team All Region and Freshman of the Year honors, and Kylie Eubanks earned 2nd Team All Region. 

Haitiana Releford is a 5’10 forward/guard from Fort Smith, Arkansas who averaged 21 points and 9.8 rebounds per game this season. Yoni had a season high 46 points, which broke the single game school record at Western Oklahoma. She has been awarded the NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week four seperate times along with being named the NJCAA National Player of the Week one time this past week. Kylie Eubanks is a 5’9 guard from Keys, Oklahoma who averaged 14 points and 4.5 rebounds per game and had a season high 27 points against Seminole State College at the begining of February, and was named NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week back in early December. 

“I am extremly proud of these two young ladies for this tremendous honor it’s such a testimate to our team of how far we have come from this time last year.” said Head Coach Jamie Fisher “This team could have had several All Region selections due to our talent level, honestly we could have had a few more that won this honor as well.” said Fisher

“I am extremely proud of this team as a whole and the grit and fight they have shown all season, and can’t wait to continue to our post season run.” “This team has really rejuventated me as a coach and been an honor to coach every single player on this team, and I am going to be really sad to see this team be done whenver that time comes, which is hopefully in Lubbock.”
