The Grove Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting for Pit Stop Cafe located at 1001 E. 3rd St. on Friday, September 23. Pit Stop Cafe has been a gathering place for the community for many, many years and is a true Grove landmark. In July of this year, Randy Beal found out it was for sale and if didn’t sell the previous owners were going to shut it down. They settled on a price and just a few days later Randy was the proud owner of one of the best little cafes around. His daughter Tehlar Beal and her friend Kynsley Converse are now running the cafe. They have both learned the ins and outs of running a small business and are well on their way to success with the help of the same great staff that has been at the restaurant for several years. The menu still has the same great selection (everything from burgers to breakfast) and the only changes that have been made are that they now accepting credit cards and they are buying local beef.

Attending the ribbon cutting were Brent Malone, Grove Area Chamber of Commerce; Dalton Homan, Edward Jones Investments; Louise Steffen Templin, Individual Member; Mary Padgett, Pit Stop Cafe; Shelly Cantrell, Pit Stop Cafe; Atms Rob Cunningham, ATMS Consulting; Stacy Converse, Pit Stop Cafe; Jordan Dempsey; Tehlar Beal and Kynsley Converse cutting the ribbon; Tammy Griffith, Pit Stop Cafe; Randy Beal, Pit Stop Cafe; Michael Hodges, Pit Stop Cafe; Syrina Nelson, BancFirst; Natasha Hartley Arnall, BancFirst; and Donnie Crain, president of Grove Area Chamber of Commerce.
