Lucas Peterson of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, was the high point winner and received a $5,000 tuition scholarship. Zoey Tunks and Payton Dingman were the recipients of two $500 book scholarships.

“The 13th annual Alumni Recruitment Rodeo was another huge success,” said NEO Rodeo coach Kolby Ungeheuer. “It is great to see the alumni come back and support this event and have incredible high school students from all over the country competing alongside them.”

The day began with long rounds in several events, and the top six competitors in the high school and alumni divisions made the short round, which started at 7 p.m. Students in NEO Agriculture programs worked concessions, prepared the arena, and operated gates.

Ungeheuer said, “The event gets bigger and better each year because of the tremendous support and hard work from alumni, students, administration, and many volunteers from the community. I can’t thank them enough, and we look forward to another great event in 2023.”
