With a goal in each half NEO Men’s Soccer picked up a 2-1 road win over U of A Rich Mountain on Sunday. A first half goal by Eh Doh Say put NEO up 1-0. In the second half Andreja Filapovic scored midway through the second half to put NEO up 2-0. The game looked to be well in hand for the Norsemen when with about 15 minutes left in the match Rich Mountain cut through the middle of the box an finished a shot. The goal by Rich Mountain added tension to the final minutes of the match, but NEO was able to hold on for the 2-1 win.
With the win NEO moves to a 2-1 record in conference play. The Norsemen continue conference play against Murray State on Wednesday 9/21 in a home match.
