044e

On June 21st the Board of County Commissioners approved the purchase of a new camera system for the courthouse and the jail. This new system will increase the camera coverage of the courthouse. The entire system in the jail will be replaced with better quality cameras and additional cameras will be installed where there are none currently. Body cameras were recently purchased for the detention officers with a Grove Rotary Club grant. The cameras are required to be used by the detention officers during the course of their duties. Sheriff Beck wants to purchase body cameras for all the deputies also. Sheriff Beck hopes to get approval for the purchase of two K-9 dogs for the sheriff’s office next week.
