The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and Colcord Police Department conducted a saturation patrol in the Colcord, Sandusky, West Siloam Springs, Oaks, Kansas, Leach and Kenwood area on Saturday July 30th. The goal of saturation patrols is to increase law enforcement visibility and reduce criminal activity. Deputies on there regular days off of work participate in these patrols along with reserve deputies. Sheriff Beck believes in community-oriented policing and wants to build and foster strong community partnerships throughout the county. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office wants to be proactive and not reactive in fighting crime. These special enforcement functions are supported by Sheriff Beck and continue to show his commitment to cooperating with other agencies to reduce crime in our county.
