East Central Oklahoma University Women's Soccer Picked Sixth in Coaches Preseason Poll

East Central University women's soccer has been picked sixth in the Great American Conference coaches preseason poll. Last season the Tigers finished the 2021 season 3-11-2 overall and 2-8-2 in GAC play.

 

The Tigers return five All-Conference players. Of these five athletes, two received First Team All- Conference and three Honorable Mention. First Team All- Conference player Tanja Bauböck who tallied five goals during the 2021 season, earning her sports in four ECU Career Top-10 Lists, will return to the Tigers along side Cambori Watson. Watson was a stand out defender in GAC play while adding one assist, 10 shots and seven on goal.

 

East Central University Women's Soccer also returns Honorable Mention All -Conference players Jocelyn Caracheo, Abbie Morris, and Madison Hays. Caracheo received this honor for the second straight season leading the team in assists. Morris took 17 shots on goal resulting in one goal while also having one assist. Hays received this award following a Second Team All- Conference selection the previous season. Maddison Hays was the only ECU play to start in each of the 16 matches during the 2021 season.

 

The Tigers open up their 2022 season August 26 at 11:00 AM against Southwest Minnesota State University in Kearney, Nebraska. ECU Women's Soccer make their home debut at Tiger Soccer Field September 8 at 4:00 PM against Oklahoma Christian University.
